GELWS / GELOS (BIOGRAPHY & DISCOGRAPHY)

Gelws started to be active with the hip hop / rap culture in the beggining of the 90's initially due to the vinyl records of his brother, Dj Bedman. After meeting Terror X Crew in the beggining of '95 and after meeting Zontanoi Nekroi (Living Dead) as well, he realised that he had the talend in writing rhymes. When he further met in Galatsi Eisvoleas during '97 and with the combination with the natural talend of both, provided the birth of the creation of the Skotini Pleura (Dark Side) band. Initially, Skotini Pleura started producing their own music but did not continue as planned because soon enough the band of Agnostoi Gnostoi (Known / Aknown) was created. Gelws's music development officially established in the below music projects following always the paths of the descent boom bap hip hop:

During 2000, Gelws - Εisvoleas – Τaraxias and Dj Jimmy Dee are releasing their first EP under the name Agnostoi Gnostoi with the project named Neoellina Akou from FM RECORDS / IHOKRATORIA. Τhe ΕΡ contains 5 tracks and 2 instrumentals. The music production was arranged by Taraxias and it was mixed by  Dj Alx.

During 2001, the band faced some legal issues since another band took them in to the court for having the same name and the team was "re-named" to Alfa Gama. They release the Agnostofovia album from FM RECORDS / IHOKRATORIA.  The LP contains 17 tracks including intro / outro , music production was arranged by Τaraxias and it was mixed by Dj Alx. In the album there are features from Taki Tsan (ZN), Harmanis, (ZN) and from DASH (Paremvoles). This album is considered classic by many of the fans and if someone wishes to purchase it, it can be ordered from here. The album sold more than 15k copies in Greece.

During 2005 and after the dissolution of ALFA GAMA, the "starting form" was re-introduced and that was Skoteini Pleura (Dark Side) which was created earlier than Alfa Gama. The band consists of the duo Eisvoleas & Gelws. The duo released independently one cd in a mixtape form which includes 14 tracks where the one being a mitrack which crearly indicated of what was coming after that. Also there are feats with Fortsatos (BPEIS) & Fanis Afanis. The musical production belongs to Eisvoleas.  

On 2007 Skoteini Pleura (Eisvoleas & Gelws), are releasing the Polemistes Zois (Warriors of Life) CD through FM RECORDS / IHOKRATORIA. The album  includes 8 skits and 14 tracks. The music production was arranged by Eisvoleas but also includes beats made by Dj ALX & Dj Bedman. In the album also there are featurings from Esterina & Taki Tsan. The album was mixed by Dj Alx and it became classic very early & was loved by their fans. You can purchase the cd online here. 

  

During 2010, Gelws releases his first solo album which is named Metaksi Ouranou kai Gis (Between Heaven & Earth). The album was released from IHOKRATORIA, was distributed through the MOUSIKO TAHIDROMIO by having 17 tracks. The music production was arranged by Dj Bedman but also you can find beats from Eversor, Vasiliki Ksesternou, Kebzer & Dj Land - Roland. In the album there are also features by Esterina, Eisvoleas, Taki Tsan & Xino. The album was once more mixed by Dj Alx and it satisfied his fans for waiting for such long time for his first solo LP.

Finally in the beggining of 2014, Gelws's new project is coming with the title of Ektos Orion (Out of limits) and it will be available from www.gelws.gr. More news regarding this project which will include the feats and other issues will be coming soon.
